Finocchio, Jr., Esq.
Mr. Finocchio, Esq., was born and raised in Syracuse, New York.
He graduated from the New England School of Law in 1974 and was
admitted to the Bar of the State of New York as an attorney in 1975
and has maintained a practice of law for the past 30 years.

On May 29, 1996, Attorney Finocchio, became Board Certified in
Family Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy headquartered
in Boston, Massachusetts. The Advocacy includes numerous trials
to verdict or judgment; continuing legal education; submission of
a Trial Court brief for review; attorney and judicial references;
proof of good standing in the legal profession and a day long examination
on Family Law, evidence and ethics. |
Mr. Finocchio, Esq., has been actively engaged in the practice
of Family and Matrimonial Law, and has prosecuted actions in the
Family Court and Supreme Court of the State of New York, and as
such, he is an active attorney in the field of Family and Matrimonial
Law. Attorney Finocchio is involved in approximately 200 different
Matrimonial and Family Law matters on an annual basis.
In addition, he is a member of the Family Law Section of the New
York State Bar Association, as well as the Family Law Section of
the American Bar Association. He was the Chairman of the Family
Law and Family Court Committee for the Onondaga County Bar Association
from 1988 to 1995.
Mr. Finocchio, Esq., has been published in the Family Law Review,
a publication of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar
Association, Volume 36, Number 2, Fall 2004, page 21 in the matter
of Strack vs. Strack, Onondaga County Supreme Court, decided on
December 23, 2003, which was a rescission action whereby he had
the parties' Separation Agreement rescinded due to his client not
receiving fair and full disclosure of the full calculation of all
marital assets from her husband.
Attorney Finocchio has also represented several litigants at the
Appellate level in both the Third Department and the Fourth Department.
The Family Law Review has also published his Appellate cases such
as the Onondaga State Bar Association, Volume 26, Number 1, March
1994.
